Information:
Visa
For most of you there will be no Visa requirements .To

a passport still valid when entering the country for 6 months.
You also need a return ticket. If you travel in on a tourist
visa you will be given 60 days before you have to leave the
country. Sometimes it can be a headache to obtain a business
visa. There most of you combine business with a bit pleasure
travel, filling out the form as tourist might make it easier
'immigration wise'.
Money
In Hotels / travel organisations/ bigger restaurants /
shopping malls/ all major credit cards are accepted. (VISA/
MASTER/AMEX) Traveller cheques are difficult to change, not
excepted in hotels, also the rate is less then cash dollars.
Some cash dollars are always practical there you can mostly
change them for an ok rate with banks or good moneychangers.
Furthermore is the cheapest way to get the best rate to take
money with your banking card which is ATM / allowed, usable
in a money machine. Then you can withdraw cash money in most
banks.
Weather
Indonesia knows a rainy season, which runs from approx
end of October - March. The top is mostly in January where
it normally rains then every day for a 1-3 hour period.
Clothing
Casual is very well accepted. In some occasions in Jakarta
it might be better to bring an also a pair of closed shoes,
and long pants. (Shorts and sandals are not allowed in all
entertainment centres, and some of the better restaurants)
Further for women travelling in Java it is advisable to wear
not too short 'shorts' or 'skirts'. This is not a rule but
more advise to prevent you from being approached in unpleasant
ways.
